Best place in the area for food and ice cream. Great burgers..

We were there last week and none of the employees (and most guests) were wearing masks or gloves. Now we find out they are closed due to an employee testing positive for Covid-19. They should not be serving the public without taking the proper steps to keep the public safe. If/when they reopen I hope they take this virus as serious as it is by keeping everything sanitary along with it being mandatory that all employees wear masks and gloves at all times!

Awesome experience, from the history of the shop that the guy gave me, to the amazing chocolate malt shake, and the beautiful patio to enjoy it on! Will be back to try their famous burgers!

The concretes are good, the shakes are good, the ice cream is soft serve so order something that's mixed. There's a great variety of flavors and toppings.

Excellent ice cream dishes as well as grill food. Staff is extremely competent and Owner is always greeting customers and friendly. Only if they had an inside area and were open year round!

What a wonderful surprise!! My husband and I were looking for ice cream in the Fenton area about three months ago, and we decided to try The Malt Shop. The ice cream is amazing! We’ve gone back several more times and have tried the pork fritter sandwich, cheese burger, chicken sandwich, French fries, and onions. Everything is delicious. The staff seems to be all young bright and cheerful people. Great job management!

Food tastes good. I ordered a large fry, maybe a handfuls worth. I ordered ice cream for each of my 3 little girls for "later" they messed up. Claimed it was never rung up. Wanted me to go to the back of the line to reorder. Since I spent close to 50$, without an itemized bill, I assumed it was correct. Unfortunately, I would not recommend returning. Not worth the cost. Food is not "that" good.

This place is great! It brings about an indescribable nostalgic feeling. You walk up to a window, order, and eat outside while socializing with other people there. Fenton is not a small town by any means, but it definitely has the small town feel. The ice cream is amazing...not hard to do. But the food is also great. The staff are crazy friendly and seem to be having fun. I am made that I've lived here for 30 years and never been before, but at least I can share it with my kids!

Stumbled across this place driving around town. Fantastic food and a great selection of ice cream and other treats for an affordable price. The steak sandwich and the hamburgers are fantastic as well as the shakes. Perfect for a cheap date, we’ve ate here several times already.

The amount of food for $11.42 was not sufficient. One double burger, 5 onion rings, and a small dish of ice cream with hot fudge. Note that does not include any beverage. There are no prices on the menu for a reason.The patties on the burger were very thin and nothing special. The small dish of ice cream was about a scoop, maybe scoop and half, and nothing special. The coating on the onion rings was delicious, but I was still hungry after spending over $11. I want to support local, but this is just too expensive for what you get.

This is one of the only places more than capable of satisfying my Texas sized sweet tooth ( which is saying something as Texas is the second biggest state in the country)

First time. I liked how they took your order in line which sped things up.Also they have a big menu full of flavors.I got a medium strawberry/banana concrete. My wife and kids also got medium concrete's. Came out to $27.00 which imho is a bit pricey. I held back caring as I figured it it was really good it's worth it.The custard was food consistecy overall but not sure they use fresh fruit like Ted Drewes and for certain not enough. Mine as well as my wife's tasted more like vanilla. You can see it in the pic.I would come back and try the malt next time. But I recommend bringing it up a levell and making sure the ingredients ordered are the hero.

Great little mom and pop shop that changed ownership about a year or so ago. I think they changed ice cream brands as I don't feel it is "as" good, but that's not saying it's bad either. This is still a great place to get a frozen treat, ice cream or snow cones (or their blast which is both blended together). They also have burgers and a small variety of sides. It's a great local place that is worth the time to swing by and visit.

Ice cream here is awesome! Not on the main road, but it is not far from it. If you are in Fenton and looking for some good ice cream, this is a great place to go. They have shakes, concretes, cones, and all kinds of flavors and sides.

The wait was lengthy due to a birthday party that arrived just ahead of us but the frozen custard was worth the wait and the price was fair.

Have been coming here since I was little. Love the mom and pop feel. They've been in business for a long time and I'm very glad someone bought them out. Definitely a great place to stop for a traditional burger with fries and a fantastic shake or malt.

The food here is delicious. Great' classic burgers and onions rings, and the chicken strips are huge! There is a small picnic seating area...My kids love to sit there and eat ALL of their food!

Banana split is wonderful but banana is not split but instead is chopped and piled as the base.

I love this place. Probably best known for the shakes and malts, but they do have a pretty good burger as well. The staff is friendly and love that I can call in an order. That way I can pick it up on my way home from a long day of work or if I know I will be in the area for work.

Got a Malt, burger and some fries. Always a great place to stop a grab a treat.

This place has been around forever but still has the best ice cream around. New owners a few years ago and they have a lot of tables to sit and enjoy your treat. Concretes are great and like that they offer 3 sizes now. A regular old Fenton hangout...love it ♥️

A legendary Fenton landmark. Fantastic food and yummy deserts. Great prices.

Nice little spot. Nothing fancy, but that's part of the charm. The handful of times I've been there the quality has been good and consistent. The kids at the window are in good spirits each time. Sadly, we moved further away and haven't been for a while.

Love this little place! You can get ice cream, food, drinks. Just a small little hole in the wall ♥️ Family friendly and good atmosphere. Outside sitting only, but plenty of places to sit. Definitely recommend
